Famous artist Ottmar Hörl has created Charlemagne, a beautiful sculpture which forms part of his 2014 collection. They were presented at an exhibition in Katschhof square, Aachen, to commemorate the Year of Charlemagne celebrated in Aachen.

Ottmar Höerl is a renowned German artist, most known for his striking installations which take place in various public environments. He studied at the "Städelschule" in Frankfurt and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf. Since 2005 Hörl has been the president of the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg.
