This lovely David Bowie 'Space Oddity' Anniversary print celebrates that 2014 is the 45th anniversary of its release, with its famous 'Ground Control to Major Tom' phrase.
It was released on 11 July 1969 ( fact-fans!). So to celebrate this pop landmark we've produced a retro poster print imagining Major Tom still out in space after all these years, as he says, 'floating in a most peculiar way'.
There's a touch of art deco about this print (reflecting the way that period was back 'in' in the late 1960s and early 1970s), as well as a bit of pop art in the heavy colour halftone pattern that makes up the Earth.#
Professionally printed on 200gsm/120lb premium archival heavy silk paper. The print is sold unframed but fits easily into an off the shelf frame. (the frame in the photo - a standard IKEA RIBBA frame - is for illustration purposes only)
Shipped in a sturdy mailing tube.
