Our 'L'Enfer, C'est Papa Dans La Cuisine French Poster Print (or 'Hell Is Dad In the Kitchen') is one of a series of retro prints based on the 1968 protest posters of the Atelier Populaire in Paris.
The red, white and blue echoes the French Tricolor flag, and the whole thing is made to resemble an urgent, hastily-printed silkscreen from the barricades.
Jean-Paul Sartre fans will recognise the words are a play on his famous line 'L'Enfer, c'est les autres' - 'hell is other people'.
These eye-catching prints all relate to everyday life - cooking, exercising, studying, tidying etc - so are very much 'for the home' in a humorous way. Know a Dad who's maybe not so great at cookery? This is the perfect gift for him!
Digitally produced and professionally printed on 200gsm/120lb premium archival heavy silk paper.
Shipped in a sturdy mailing tube.
The print is sold unframed but fits easily into an off the shelf frame. The frame in the photo is for illustrational purposes only.
